Title: Amsoil?
Post by: 200fisher on Jan 19, 2013, 11:48 AM
I'm trying to buy a quart of Amsoil Saber Professional 2 stroke oil to mix with the gas for my Jiffy auger, chain saw, leaf blower, weed whacker, etc. I can't find a retailer, and I refuse to pay the shipping charges on one quart from the Amsoil online store. I've tried calling a few of the "dealers" listed on the web site. No one seems to answer their calls and no one returns my messages.  :-\

Does anyone know where, or from whom, I can buy Amsoil within a reasonable driving distance from Webster? Thanks!

If you can find a NAPA dealer I think they carry it. I also use Amsoil great stuff.

Bill- PM sent...

Thanks to others for their suggestions. Greenfield's a bit too far, and my local NAPA doesn't carry it. Special thanks to elevatorman, who has offered to drill all my holes so I don't even need my auger. ;) ;D

it dont make any difference where you buy amsoil, you will still have to pay the shipping. just buy a can of s.e.f or go to sears and buy a can of premix 2stroke fuel for about $5. its not the oil you have to worry about, its the fuel. no alcohol in the sef....even if you dont use it all in one season ,,it will last for 2 years. http://www.vpracingfuels.com/sef-94.html   check it out. comes all pre mixd, 40 or 50:1. sears sells their own brand but its just as good. this s racing fuel not gas,,,i leave it in my auger all year. never have a problem

The Napa at Ahearns in Leicester has both the oil and the premix gas( non ethanol).

Thanks for the responses, guys. I think I'm all set.

For your information, Richie Bite Me, shipping's $7.10, then add sales tax, then add excise tax to CT. Now that qt. of oil is costing almost $20.00. This old Polock isn't gonna go for that! ;D
