New to Pike Fishing

Okay guy's, I am going Pike fishing for the first time tomorrow morning. It is a small lake that has some 15 - 20 pounders in it. Max depth of the lake is 30', where should I look for them or should I just cover all depth ranges? What should I use as bait, dead, live or in between?? Any information would be appreciated.

I use 10-12 in dead bait, any depth between 4ft and 20ft. Within 2ft of bottom or laying on bottom. I prefer dead sticking more than jigging for pike.

New to Pike fishing here's a few pike I got in December, biggest one at 29 1/2".  Just gotta fish about a foot off the bottom of the lake they mostly hit on chubs or shiners.

I dont know of any good pike fishing holes in Mass. But here in Maine just north of Augusta on Great Pond and Long Pond those are two very good pike ponds here in Maine, if your up for the long drive. It's about 4 and half hours from Mass.

I'm from Colorado, but I read that for Mass. fishing areas, the Charles River estuary around Boston, providing it freezes, offers good fishing for pike.
