Title: Want to take my grandchildren & in-laws to Valentine for pike

Okay, I WAS...and I place emphasis on WAS planning on taking my family up to Valentine this weekend for their first Northern Pike fishing trip. I had hoped we could go to Pelican or whichever lake would have stable ice. I've had rooms booked for some time but I'm wondering with the high temps this week if we're risking getting wet. Can anyone tell me?

It's not looking good for the V. Refuge especially with kids. Merritt might hold. Watch this board for reports.

Thanks Sandbilly, I let my grandkids know this morning I called and cancelled rooms. They're disappointed but I'll sleep better not worrying about it.  :tipup:
