Trufuel Premixed for Augers
« on: Nov 19, 2013, 01:33 PM »
Anyone ever use this stuff?  I've had someone tell me it works GREAT in their augers.  Pre-mixed, two year shelf life after it's opened.  Ethanol Free.

About $6 for 32 ounces.

Is it to hard to just mix gas, or what is the point in it?

I can buy a gallon of premium gas and the synthetic 2 stroke oil for less than 8 bucks. Why would I pay $24?

I guess it's so you don't have to.  It's supposed to be almost smokeless and better for the engine.  No ethanol is a big deal, I guess.  I'm no motor guy.  A lot of the big chainsaw guys in the woods around here use it, as I've been told.

Non-oxy gas and some 2 cycle oil with stabilizer = BIG savings vs. ease of use.

Yea I don't think it is that great. Ease of use=Too lazy to mix.
Why does everything have to be easy? Just makes me fatter. :nono:

For those of us who live in areas where non-ethanol fuel is impossible to obtain at the pump thanks to our wonderful gubment, this stuff is god-sent.  I've been using it for a few years.  Leave it in the tank, leave the auger in the basement all summer, auger starts right up come season every time!!

I have lots of different 2stroke equipment and when I'm using lots of 2stroke mix, I'll just mix my own.  But with ethanol gas it's not good to leave mix sitting for months and months at a time.  When I mix myself, I use startron in the mix to protect from the evil ethanol.  Towards the end of the season I use the trufuel and leave it in the tank over winter.  Have yet to have an issue just starting it right up months later when I need it.

Danged gubmint and that ethanol crap has wrecked more engines than you can count, and they just keep pushing it. I guess in your case the Trufuel is the best way to go. Should send the bill to the gubmint.  ;) >:(

I guess I'm lucky to live where some gas stations blend 84 octane with 91 octane so we have 87 octane non-oxy available. It is 20 cents more expensive than the ethanol crud and worth it in my opinion.
It seems to go from zero to hero all some have to do is lie.
