nubble pond in raymond has some huge lakers and salmon. every time i go there i catch at least 20 fish and none of them are under 34 inches. one of the best trophy ponds ive ever seen or heard of. everyone should go there.-shangri la
were all in this together

LIVE ACTION!

All the romance of trout fishing exists in the mind of the angler and is in no way shared by the fish.

This thread is continues to beat a dead horse. This is what I take away from it:

No one likes it when people's spots are outed and "advertised" but it's also little annoying when people are overly paranoid, and I think we could do without going crazy with the pond X and Y talk and the blurred out backgrounds. I'm not saying that you should make it obvious where fish were caught, but why not just take discrete pictures that don't require photoshop? A little maturity and courtesy goes a LONG way, on both sides. Finally, like it or not, it turns out that the internet isn't the best place for keeping secrets, so it kinda comes with the territory...

I never got the point of telling someone where I caught a big fish. I mean the fish is caught do you want me to throw it back down and you can catch it again? Just doenst make since. Its like hunting season when you shoot a deer. I shot a deer over 200lbs this year I got texts and calls from people ive never met wanting to know where I shot it. Does it really matter? its already dead. I like catching tons of fish but going to someone elses spot takes the fun out of fishing. It kind of defeats the purpose of fishing if you go to a grade A spot all the time. Just my .02

... There's two basic types of "Fishing Fools" in this world … Those who share the "Best Secret Spots" to just anyone - and those that never fish those "Secret Spots" again, after they've been shared with them.

... it's life!

Fishing, It's been like robbing banks for 40 years, and getting away with it - now's that time when I give it "ALL" back! - it's very redeeming!

I saw last year someone must have been pissed at someone, they posted the GPS coordinates of a walleye hot spot on Craiglist.

Fishermen can post what they want. This is an ice fishing chat room/web site. If no one talks about lakes, fish, or where they are fishing why have an ice fishing chat site? If you want to be tight lipped, great. If you want to post info, great.
