Ice Fishing Season is done for me

The word is out.  I'm moving to Petawawa this July.

So, the honey do list just got really long with a short time frame.  And to top it off I have to sell my house of 9 months. Go figure ........   

Now I get to learn new lakes and the river.  Guess there is a plus side.

All the best to you,  I spent a few years there myself,  great fishing and hunting,  the small lakes back of the trg area and at the edge of Algonquin park are good for Speckles. Where the Ottawa meets the Petawawa river is good for fishing too.

Sorry to hear man! Should be some good ice fishing up there though. But I really don't think you'll need that quad. you know where I live if you want/need to get rid of it!!!

Hey Megaram, good luck with your posting to Pet.  I spent five years there from '74 to 79.  There is always good fishing to be had, even there, just takes a little looking around to find the good spots.  And of course, you will only be a three hour drive back to here if you choose to return.Hope to bump into you on the ice again.

Bitter Sweet.     

 House sold in a week.  And I still have time to hit the ice.   
Was out two days ago on dog.  Somebody cut holes big enough for a man to fall through.  ( why )
And on Loughbrough right now.  I have to say I'm kinda disappointed in people. 
Chip bags, garbage, propane tanks ,  all stuck in the ice.  And I would take it but I don't have my spud bar to break them free. 
Well this was supposed to be a nice comment.

I first went to Pet in the winter of 61...the Cdn Guards Depot...They made trg rough, but survived and went on to do 30 years,   Have a great tour.
