Anyone been out of Huletts recently? I've been hoping to get up there this coming weekend, but concerned about the ice with this weeks warm weather.

There's a reason why so many anglers on here have had good luck with the lakers in the past few years. It's because this guy hasn't done much ice fishing due to an illness. Sadly, we have lost Keith Sheerer. RIP, my friend.

Water temp yesterday was 40-41 where I fished.  It's looking to be a keep the boat un-winterized year.  Saw 2 boats all day and the fishing wasnt half bad.

Oof @water temp 41*F  :-[

We could lock up in 2 weeks if October-November hadn't been so warm.

Paddling through skim ice. Wouldn't want to fall in.

(Image removed from quote.)

I jumped in my pool on 10/21 and it was still in the mid to high 60's and I thought that was cold.

No thanks!

I'll be optimistic and predict 1/21. Water temp at Hall's is down to 37.06 and there's only a few hours above 32 for the entire 10 day forecast and a couple below zero nights so that temp will continue to drop and a still night with frigid temps might just lock it by then. A good snow storm would be a big help right about now as well.

I will be ramming skim in my boat until it's too thick to ram.  Remember the year the guys in the row boat busted up the ice at the launch.  Classic.
