I have never targeted either of these or caught them through the ice. Was great fun fighting the sucker though.

Large suckers are a good fighting fish. I love catch and releasing them in the spring when they spawn up creeks.

That's a nice sucker. Good to see the underdogs getting some love. I don't go after them through the ice, but they are my most frequent target from the boat.

Nice, suckers and carp put up a great fight, I haven't ever targeted them, but have caught a few.

suckers are very good eating fish! that one would have been a treat.
why don't you target bass under ice? its pretty good fishing all winter. you can have a lot of flags if in the rite area. they also eat ok up to the 16-17"mark. make great fish sammies on a hoagie. just pulled some fillets out this morning for dinner.
congrats on the different fish being caught.

Sweet! That's a Silver Redhorse, a favorite of mine in open water for C&R and eating. Never caught one through the ice though, that's pretty cool

I never really fish where Bass are prevalent. I just happen to be looking for Gills and came across that guy and two others. Never did find the gills though.
