Hub style blind for spearing
« on: Jan 23, 2017, 03:32 PM »
The spearing board doesn't get a lot of traffic so I'm posting here. I'm considering a hub style blind for spearing, I just want one that's roomy and dark.  The two that caught my eye are the Frabill Bro Hub ice shelter and the Cabela's XL2000.  Both have black interior and are thermal.  The Cabela's one retails for almost the same price as the Frabill at $349-$359, but is on sale for $279.  Does anyone have either of these houses, or one similar in size that gets dark enough for spearing?

It's probably not on your short-list but I thought I'd mention, my blue Clam Bigfoot thermal is not dark at all.
I was going to rig lights in it, but for the daytime, I have no need, even fully zipped up.
