I have used both a cabin and flip-over portable shelter. I much prefer the flip-over for ease of set up... How about you?

I have a pop up and a flip over and prefer my flip over.
The pop up sees use during early ice when I have to walk on.

Fish Trap Pro flipover, mainly for the ease of set-up and take down, and the fact that I can fit all my gear right inside and just hook it to the back of my snowmobile for travelling on the lake.

I have the frabill trekker 2 (I like it for the price).  I use this most of the time. Its hard to beat the flipovers for hauling gear and mobility.  I use my quickfish 4  when kids/wife come along. I really like the Qf4. Easy up and down and lots of windows to watch my t ups, but I prefer a flip when just 1-2 people.

just bought a shappell rover 1.5sp.  This is my first shelter so I'm gonna have to get used to it also.

wow, the dominance of the flip-over is a bit surprising, I would have expected it to win, but nearly 80%

I just sold my Clam fish trap and bought a Eskimo Quick Fish 3
That clam had no room for all my gear I cant stand up and I always felt like the heater was going to set the place or my coat on fire.

I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on an Eskimo 767 popup for when a buddy comes along. Think it'll be a nice addition to the Pro flip

I hole jump allot My flip was just a place to get warm it was given to me.
Come to think of it I never caught a fish while setting in it.
So I think the hub will serve me better.
I can go in and cook, nap, drink, smoke, pi$s.

Flip overs are great when looking for fish, easy to pack up and move.   Permanents are great if you have a lake were people aren't breaking in all the time and robbing you.

Bought a Clam Nanook 2 seasons ago and have never looked back.  Without a doubt, it's considerably easier for mobile style icers.

That's funny~ I just bought one over the summer!
I'd like to be able to set it half way for a windbreak and face the sun. I usually like to sit out on a bucket and take in the view.
Thinkin 'bout cusk on the grill......
