Hard at 'er the past couple of days. Weather turns late tomorrow with cold NE winds and rain for Saturday night and Sunday.
Temps will have highs in the 40's starting Sunday and it ain't gittin' any warmer.
It's turning out just as I had envisioned it when I designed the cabin a few years ago.  :)

Nice looking up in the gable end, Dave.

I 'm guessing you've done a bit of climbing up and down.

The most impressive thing is I moved the scaffolding without disassembling it!!!!  Figure I saved a ton of time and energy doing that.   ;D

Great photos ! How much vacation time do you have left to finish the trim work and siding? Did you come up with a system to help move the scaffolding while it is still erect or just lift up one side and start walking/dragging it to needed location. Very impressive what you have accomplished as a solo construction worker.

I have another 10 days and then it's back to work.
I moved the scaffolding with a high lift jack and pinch bar

Well a couple of rain days kept me working inside.
Reconfigured the washroom and made it bigger and roughed in for a window.

Finally got the Hardie Shingle work done above the front windows too.
Took me 3 days to do this small section. Was worth the effort me thinks.

Working on trim tomorrow.

Drifter/Dave you could work in the building trades with your knowledge and quality of workmanship. May all go well with the remaining trim work on the front wall. Once again thanks for the update and photos.

Packed it in and headed home today.
Had enough of the crappy weather and not getting anything done.
Tried to do some work yesterday but the cold wind made it impossible.
Cleaned the site up and put stuff away for the winter.
Was cloudy and calm and in the low 30's when I left the dock so I went fisihin' fer an hour.
The fall bite is on!!!!!
Went 4 for 10 with 15 or 20 other smacks from pike in the hour.
No giants but one decent fish in the 36-38" range.

It only gets better between now and freeze up.   ;D

Will pull the dock next weekend hopefully the weather cooperates.

Last day of vacation today so I went to the cabin and pulled the dock for the winter.

Got a nice shot of the cabin from the lake too.

Once the dock work was done I got some rod time on the lake.
Landed 12-15 pike with the biggest a real fatty in the teens.
Unfortunately my pic turned out pretty crappy.

Hopefully the lakers are on the chew this weekend.
The launch bay is down to 37* so she'll be hard soon.

Stick a fork in 'er!!!
The open water season is done now.
Launch bay will be frozen completely by next weekend.
Time to tune the sled, fire up the auger and sort my ice fishin' gear.

Managed to boat a few fishes on my last boating trip of the year.

Things change fast in the NWT . Good you got your dock pulled before having to break ice to remove it from the lake.

The launch freezes long before the actual lake does.
Lake temp up by the cabin was 42-43* yesterday while the launch was 32-35*.
Just gotta make sure to have the dock pulled by mid October so I can concentrate on fishin' before freeze up. ;)

Drifter, check your box for a PM.  Ice is now thick enough in our area to start moving material in on sleighs for the new cabin build, have some questions.

Finally made it out to the cabin for a couple of hours.
Broke in the trail and packed down the snow around the cabin.
Snow was waist deep but uber fluffy so I still ended up bouncing off rocks here and there. It should firm up nicely now that it has been run over a couple of times.

A little B&W pano off the back of the porch.  :)
