Good Morning Everyone, 71 degrees here and cloudy. Me and Mr Dickens drove my wife to work today. Still waiting to hear about the Jeep. Have a ultrasound appointment to see if I have a kidney stone brewing due to change in my meds. Have to love Drs. They never listen to the patient.

Old Goat, Sounds like you had a busy day yesterday. Hope you have a good day and are able to wet a line.

MasonEddie, Grandpa duties are very important. Good luck on the water today.

Hunts2long, Hope your pain goes away quickly.

Whopper Stopper, Good luck with the new Rheumatologist. Hope it stays cool while you cut and split your wood.

Ice Wanderer, Take it easy while splitting the cordwood. Where do you come up with those jokes? They always give me a chuckle.

WallyWorld, Good luck to both of you on the water today.

Mr Clean, Violence today seems to be escalating. Seems like there are shootings and stabbings everyday.

I hope everyone has a great day and tight lines. Be safe.

Oh my a cooling trend ?

Was out having a smoke and enjoying a cool breeze, and full moon.  who do I have to thank for that. ??? Dave ?  Marv ?

August 11 already ?  Anyone else notice how fast the days seem to be going?  Got a call from a long time friend and customers daughter that found my number on his phone to let me know of his passing.  She shared a link to his Facebook memorial page, he was being remembered by friends and family and was very much loved by all that knew him.  The real surprise was her telling me of how often he spoke kindly of me. He was 82.

Think I will be shopping for a boat cover and Bimini top for the new to me boat, while I am here in Wisconsin before heading back to Tennessee. Might need to go to, Madison and visit the Bass pro store.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable day

Good morning Bud! Good morning everyone

57 degrees with a high of 80 expected, chance of late afternoon showers.

WW..Looking forward to your fishing report. Hope the outing was a good one

IW.. Did you have a good day with the wood making yesterday? How many cords do they figure is on a load when you buy the logs?
I saw another ad on Market place for a bunch of oak logs that are again close to my house. I didn't get a response yet but would like to see what they have.

h2l..Hope your knee is feeling better today

Eddie..How did the estimate go, better or worse than the casting? Good video

Dave..Enjoy your time in Edmonton. Safe travels!

Bud...Congratulations on the new boat

45..Good luck if you have to tangle with a kidney stone  Your views on Doctors sound about the same as mine :%$#!:

My visit with the Rheumatologist was a crock to put it mildly. I am not sure why they want to have all your past history of medications and treatments when they ignore everything anyway. Somewhere between mandatory knee and hand injections and zero tolerance on alcohol use with random urine testing, I told the guy to stick his BS where no one else will have to step in it. I was pretty ticked off with wasting the time and money going down there to see him so I took it out on the woodpile.

I have about 3 hours left of splitting and stacking then I need to do some minor splitter maintenance. The slides that hold the plunger to the I-beam are getting worn out so I will need to come up with something. Being the splitter is 44 years old I may have to get them made.

Hope everyone has a good Thursday  Stay safe and keep healthy.

              Good morning Bud, Marv, ER's,
It's 60* and clear here on my hill. Another cooler day toady. ::)
Bud..........The reason I use a Have-A-Heart trap is my wife is too much of an animal lover, even rodents. So I catch them and take them
for a ride to drown them in a pond down the road....Don't tell her. Congrats on the new to you Boat.
Marv.........I know what you mean , they ask for medical history and completely ignore it.  :%$#!: :cookoo: There is around 7 full cords of
wood in a triaxle load.
H2l...........I hope you leg thing is just a growing pain. LOL :roflmao: I have this stuff call Theraworx, It's for leg cramps and spasm relief.
But it helps with some other ailments of the my legs. :flex: You can get it at your favorite pharmacy Walgreens.  :roflmao:
Eddie........I hope the estimate went well and you have the job. Yesterday was a good day for yard work. :flex:
Wally........I'll be looking for your report on yesterdays trip.
I-45.........I Hope you and you wife enjoy the couple days off. :flex:
Fish.........I hope the Farmers market went well.
OG..........You got busy with the yard work. :flex:
Yesterday was a good day out on the wood pile, the sun hardly came out and the temperature was in the low 70"s and no humidity. I cut and split
10 logs in the morning then in the afternoon I stacked them. I'm a lot slower than I use to be, I just take it easy not to over do it.
                           Back at it today.
I hope everyone has a good Thursday either at work or out. Stay Safe and Healthy.

58* clear, like this weather.

IW, good luck with the wood pile.

WS, Doctor visits are the main cause of PAIN in the, well you know. The wife takes a lot of meds so she carries a copy with her and just gives it to them. It doesn't matter if you go 2 days in a row, they want to see it.

WW, hope you found some fish.

My pain has improved a little. I just wish I know what I did to it. I think it is just old age catching up to me. Hoping it is better so I can fish on Friday.

Hope everyone has a good day and be safe....h2l

Good Morning Everyone, 67 Degrees here. My wife and Mr Dickens are sleeping. Haven’t passed the stone. Have my ultrasound appointment this evening. People at Aamco say I need my transmission rebuilt. It does have 286,000 miles on it and I doubt the other owners took care of it. Not much on the agenda today.

WallyWorld, sounds like it was a good day to be on the water. Have a good ride on the Trike.

Hunts2long, Hope your pain gets better and your able to fish tomorrow. Take it easy today.

Ice Wanderer, Doesn’t seem like you have slowed down any. Be safe today

Whopper Stopper, I’m sorry to hear your appointment with the new Dr didn’t go well. I did like the part where you told him to stick it where no one would step in it. Hope your splitter maintenance goes well.

IFF, I’m sorry to hear about your friends passing.

I hope everyone has a great day and tight lines.

The farmers market went well sold some things here and there and everyone made some money.  The daughters and boy helped out with the Kids Corner and there were games and such for all them to play, that went well for them.  It was just Hot Hot, but today looks like the last day above 90 and then they are calling for 80's and such for the cool down into fall, cannot believe we only have a little bit of time and I can start chasing critters around the hills and mountains.  We get wood by the Semi load out here and they call for 10 to 15 cords of wood per load of Pine.  The price seems to be good at around 1700 for the load to be dropped where you want it, was cheaper when the price of Fuel was cheaper, but it is nice not to tear up equipment on the mountain getting it myself, plus wear and tear on my body, my brother still goes up and gathers his wood, but he has help and usually takes him about a month of weekends, but hey I am usually out catching walleye at that time.  Well better get back out and get some work done, just one more after today.  have a great Thursday everyone.

Good evening after receiving a break yesterday it was back to the high temperature and humidity level today. Today's high was near ninety around 3 PM with humidity level at or above 60 percent. More gun violence in my area of NY. this time across the Hudson river in Dutchess county city of Poughkeepsie possible relation to gang activity. There must be a local skunk who comes through my complex at this time of night second day I have smelt it's presence. Hopefully nothing startles the animal and causes it to spray.
Drifter may you have safe travel to and from Edmonton. Enjoy the games I know there are NHL draft picks among the players fro the different nations competing.
Old Goat sounds like you have been busy with yard work.
IFF happy to read Linda found her dog.  Congratulations on the boat purchase. Interesting home your SIL is a long time friend of the seller.
Icefisher-45 all the best with regards to the kidney stone. I hope today's Ultrasound did not reveal multiple stones in your urinary system. I saw your post in the grumpy thread of hearing from Aamaco your jeep needs it's transmission rebuilt. Take a good inspection of the overall vehicle before spending the money is my opinion given it is a 2,000 year model you maybe facing another expensive repair in a couple of months due to age related failure of some other part.
Whopper Stopper to bad things did not work out at the rheumatologist visit. So know you still have to search for a new doctor. Best to you in getting the Oak logs and being able to do the repair work on your wood spliter.
Ice Wanderer  will keep the chipmunk relocation site a secret from your wife. ;D you get a good sized delivery of logs each year to end up with an average of 7 cords of processed fire wood each year.
Hunts2long may your leg feel well enough for you to get out fishing tomorrow.
Wallyworld nice that you took advantage of the weather to bad the walleyes were not actively feeding. may today's tryke ride have included an ice cream break.
Fish/hunt4ever sounds like a well organized farmer's market to include a children's activity area to keep them busy while their parents shop. may you receive some cooler temperatures before start of fall hunting seasons so processing the fire wood is more enjoyable.  I tip my hat to your brother for logging and processing his fire wood needs each year.
Zcm-82 also saw your post in the grumpy thread may one or both of your coworkers return next week. I hope the weather cooperates so you can get out fishing with your FIL and son this weekend.
Eddie guessing you had a busy day scheduled or one of the grandchildren burrowed your tablet. May Stephen and his family have arrived safely in England and all of them be having a good time with Brittany's parents and other relatives.

Everyone have a good night. Keep hydrated if dealing with higher temperatures.
 Steve

Well today or now that it’s past midnight I can say yesterday is a day to remember, picked up the 20’1” Lund boat, in the process Learned that the Lund trailer it’s on is a 2014 model. Seller lives but a block from a rock river boat launch so he took it over to back it into the water so I could hear it run. Albeit the 9.9 didn’t want to cooperate at first. But will need a little TLC at the gas line plug. Drove up to Denver and meet up with our one and only “Old Goat”.   He showed me to the Cabela’s store so I could pick out a new boat cover,  then on to plan B,  guiding me to a Casino where he showed me why he should have a name change to something more fitting, maybe add wizard to the OG ::) or change it to Casino Bandit  ::)  anyway I was impressed. And supplied with good company with laughs to boot.
Some of his luck may have rubbed off on me for what happened later. Returning to your my camp, where my daughter was pet sitting Jake for me.  Found myself locked out.   She had taken the only house key out of the lock box and left it on the table. The lock is one that you can open the door and exterior knob still be in the locked position.  So I had to become a MacGyver to let myself back in.

             Good morning Bud, ER's,
It's 50* and clear here on my hill. ::)
Bud.........Never a dull moment where ever you go. :roflmao:
I-45........Sorry to hear about the transmission. :%$#!: Hope the kidney stone passes soon.
Fish........Here in the Adirondacks we have plenty of hardwood for our heating, I paid $850 for the load. Pine logs would be considerably
cheaper. But pine isn't recommended because of the creosote build up.
Wally......Sorry to hear that it was a slow day out on the lake.
Marv.......The thing is you need a Dr. to keep giving the prescription for the meds you are on. :cookoo:
Eddie......I hope all is well and the grandkids left the tablet on andyou had no battery left to post.
Well yesterday I got a surprise around 10 am My wife came out and started stacking wood, we were done around 11:15.
I got a call from my weekend end boss and asked if I could work today instead of tomorrow. So It will be a wood day tomorrow. I figure
about 12 hours of work and I'll have it done. That translate to 3 days.
I hope everyone has a good Friday either at work or out. Stay Safe and Healthy.

Good Morning Everyone,
Clear and 56* this am, high of 78 today.

Jeff…hope your day goes well, some comfortable working weather will be a plus! Good news on the wood pile and your wife getting involved with the stacking…nice!
Bud…congrats on the new boat, glad you had a chance to meet up with OG for a little casino time!
Steve…I had an early start yesterday and was running a tad behind…one of those hit the floor running days, lol. Got a message and some pictures yesterday from my son, all is going well and they’re having a wonderful time..
FH4…glad to read things are picking up at the Farmers Market! Hope you have a good end to the work week today and a great weekend on the water!
I-45…sorry to read about the kidney stone and tranny issues, dang. Best wishes sent for both!
Wally…some beautiful weather for your trike ride, glad you had a safe trip! Enjoy your visit with the granddog…
H2..hope that pain has passed, good luck on the reservoir today!
Marv…that sucks about the Dr. visit, best of luck with the next one.     I’m sort of in the same boat, trying to get an appointment with one today if I they can fit me in or get a cancellation.

Got the repair job completed yesterday, it went pretty good with the exception of running into a fairly large bees nest. Had to remove and replace a section of brick wall that had deteriorated. Got it about half dismantled and must have woke up the hive, lol. Homeowner had a few cans of spray on hand so that worked out well, only got hit once.
  R&R day today…Cawfee’s on!
Have a great day all, be safe, best of luck to those fishing!

Good morning IW,WW! Good morning everyone

64 degrees with a good looking rain moving into our area.

IW...Good deal with the Mrs stacking some wood  I have asked my general Dr. about taking over the couple meds that I am on and got shot down. They don't want to step on each others feet and gee, why would they want to consolidate and take $$ away from the hospital :cookoo:

WW..By the time the 10 days are up you might be wanting one ??? I was looking yesterday and the slides on the splitter aren't as bad as I thought. I should be fine waiting until winter to work on it.

Eddie.. Enjoy the R&R  Good luck with the Doc.  I am thinking about draining my own swamp and telling them all to stick it.

With the rain moving in I will have a much needed day off from wood splitting. Not sure what I will do yet but my chair and the coffee are sure feeling go so far.

Hope you all have a good day  Stay safe and keep healthy.

Well got the camper moved the other day and broke the hanger again for the leaf spring, talked to a coworker and he suggested a new one and not fix the old one like we did the last time so not taking it out until I get that fixed so I do not wear out another set of tires on that side of the camper, but good news a dealer in town had the hangers and only 7 bucks a piece, so that was good news.  Some storms moved through last night with a little more rain and was nice to have a cool down for a bit.  Well back at it for the last one before the weekend, just hope the last trailer for the day arrives soon. Check in later have a great Friday everyone.

It’s Friday already?  Oh yeah just another day in the adventure’s. Sure didn’t start out like it should have,  had to hold my tongue just right to hookup the boat. Jack was all the way up and needed to be up another 2 inches. So finally had to reverse the ball on the what it called. Lucky for me I remembered there were big wrenches in the granddaughters house 4 doors away.  Will be a lot longer drive time going south man that thing is heavy  ::) ::)  Don’t expect to be back to the farm before midnight

Thanks again OG that casino visit was a blast

Here’s to a smooth day everyone

IFF I am willing to bet it is a Shlague lock. A guy I worked for insisted to use them. I hated them as it would allow a kid to lock themselves out of the house. We put a lot of modulars on lakes. I was afraid some kid would get locked out and end up falling in the lake and drowning. I talked to a locksmith. He said they are no longer made that way.  I still will not use them.

I was in Denver twice headed to and coming home from Pagosa Springs on a hunting trip. I was in a motel on the way down resting on the bed when another motel guest came to tell me that someone had torn up the back bumper up on my van with their truck. He had the license number that I gave to the cops. They came to the motel to tell me the address was for the license plate was for a vacant lot.

IW After my brother moved back from AK he kept telling me where I might get some firewood cheap. It was always pine. I old him that we do not have to use pine for firewood. About all he had for firewood in AK was spruce.

I need to get the present I have for my Granddaughter wrapped. She gets her RN pin tomorrow. I have my mother's Diploma and a bunch of other stuff from her graduation as an RN that is going to her
