Title: Bay of Quinte Ice Conditions
Post by: Kingston K on Feb 23, 2017, 06:58 AM
Hey folks. Hoping to get out a couple more times this year. Anyone been out at Shirley's or Thompson's recently? How thick is the ice?

Thanks.

I was at the old church last weekend, I found about 4-5 inches of ice in the places I fished. But based on the what I saw and the warm weather lately I would find somewhere else to go, or bring a boat. I also hear from a friend who tried to go to shermans pt, that he said his spud went through in only two pokes and he went to the church instead. But like I say, that was about a week ago, and it was 12 degrees today. I doubt there is much good ice

Just my opinion.
