I frequent TAGS for bait when I have a chance to leave Hartford and Head home.
Where would I get live bait in the CT Northwest corner ?
Thank you

Sorry all just saw SR' post. Doesn't seem to be much I. The Torrington/Norfolk area of CT

Still river outfitters and northwest sportsman in Winsted. There’s another guy in Winsted that sells bait on the way out of town.

Thank you, that's good to know. I traveled a bit East to Joe's Bait in Windsor Locks. He was a nice guy, has a good supply of shinners. Cash or check only. I was glad to support his business.

Jim's bait on Rt.44 between Norfolk and Canaan. The shop heading out of Winsted is Outdoor Artistry.

UpCountry in New Hartford is a good shop.

Thanks couldn’t remember the name of Glen’s shop there. He’s great... always full of helpful info!

Upcountry does not sell shiners

Danny’s Bait in Torrington always does it for me! No thrills, but great live bait and he’s open everyday but Tuesday at 5 am I think. Shiners, roseys, spikes are almost always in stock. Call him, real nice guy.

Thank you all. This has been very helpful.

I go to Northwest Sportsman. Always have shiners and always a pleasure going in there.
