DeSmet should be setting up nicely...
« on: Dec 30, 2010, 10:08 PM »
Well fellas, with this blast of cold air Desmet should be building some good ice. TRR has slowed down and now I'm ready to go find those big eyed toothy critters in DeSmet. Anyone wanna go?

The wind might not help it cap. Today 12-31-10 no wind. Stay cold and hope that is freezes.Bull perch is right there should be some good perch in there this year. Now if I could just get the Wally's to bit thought the ice like we had them biting last summer.
If you are going to cry be quick about it. Then get back to fishing.

We hammered the perch last winter. Nothing to big tho. Need to get some footballs like at Boysen. TRR is producing 10 to 12 inch perch and they are FATSOS!!!

Well I just drove by Desmet.. no luck on the ice yet. Main body is wide open and white cappin pretty hard. We need the wind to lay down and it may freeze up. ???

There is a little ice in Barkey and the ramp area but I would not trust it yet.

It may be another week or so, I hope to get out on it just as soon as it allows.

Keep calm and return fire...
