How does the MHX blank compare to the TB?

Extremely comparable in my opinion. However, have not been able to fish either. Have just built on both brands in the quiverstick and panfish versions so far.

Wow! Many, many nice set ups.  I now feel like the guy that showed up to a formal dinner direct from the barn wearing my mucking boots and coveralls.  ; - )

Here is my favorite Lake Winnipeg Walleye jigging rod and reel.  I had worn out my old TB Walleye Sweetheart 28" and replaced it this summer with this new one.  Reel is a Shimano Calcutta 50XT.  Super light weight great drag.

How does the MHX blank compare to the TB?
The 30" mhx is close to the TB perch sweetheart but a little stiffer, I sand it down to be almost identical.  The mhx quiver stick is very similar to the TB version.  I haven't tried the other mhx panfish blank to see how it compares.  I did try the mhx 36" walleye blank first and it was to stiff so tapered it down to a perch sweetheart.  I really like the back bone of these two mhx blanks.  My hole hopper is a mhx 42" walleye light and has more of a moderate action which works for that rod, I just tapered the tip a little for using small spoons.

The 50XT I got on eBay from a guy in Japan.  125 including shipping.  There is a U.S. 50 on eBay now current bid $72.   Shimano doesn't make 50's anymore u have to get used. Perfect size for ice fishing.

Very nice rods and case set-up. Those cases are a bit pricy, but I really like em.

You're 100% right, but when you have $700-$1000 in custom ice rods bouncing around in the bottom of a sled being pulled by a machine $150 worth of insurance gives me a warm fuzzy feeling. I also like how all my tackle and rods are in 1 spot. When we go away to Bay of Quinte, and other destinations I can bring everything into the hotel room at night to dry out/re-tie.

And my favorite rod of all, my HT Slick Ice.  Not fancy, but the crook in the blank really helps line up the spool with the eyelets.

I like the looks of the no 8 reel nice setup

It definitely looks nice...haven't had too much time to play around with it but my first thoughts are that the spool has too much play in it and the drag isn't silky smooth. I'll take it apart and lube it up this weekend. I need to remind myself that its not a pflueger president

With that much pricy hardware, $150 is nice insurance. Good luck and tight lines on the ice this year!

I was very close to buying one of those, but I built 2 of my own for half the price of 1 Ice Fishing Innovation box.  They're not composite, which makes them heavier but I use my 4 wheeler 90% of the time.  The rest is just pond hoping here and there and I do have a smitty which makes all the difference!
