Title: Fly rod case
Post by: SteveTheChimneySweep on Apr 03, 2019, 08:33 AM
Any one ever use these to store and transport you ice rods.  Cabel's has them on sale for less than 17.00.  Looks like it would protect the rod and an inline reel pretty good.

Never thought about this but I have a couple of cases that have been retired have to see how they work. Thanks for the idea. On another note do really sweep chimneys?

Thanks for the feed back, And yes I do sweep chimney's.  It is my full time gig.  Started in 1993 out near Boston MA and then started my own company.  Have been full time since 2009.  Lets me be around when the kids are sick or there is no school and the wife doesn't need to burn up vacation time. Plus the busy season winds down right after Christmas in time for hard water fishing.  My son will be 7 next week and my daughter will be 5 in June, so we can go out for an hour after school.  I am just getting back into ice fishing after a few years off when they were little.

Thanks
Steve

Pretty kool in my much younger days I heated totally with wood and swept my own chimneys. Outside stacks. Very important if can’t always get good quality wood. Glad To hear you’re gig is friendly to your life situation. Good luck on next years hard water season!

Got the case.
I could carry up to 4-5 rods if I change the configuration  :big grin:

That looks like it will work pretty slick.  I have a couple of cases that i my use, still working on what i will be using this year.  I am just getting back into ice fishing and my maiden voyage into jigging, so still not sure what i need or want yet.  But the new drill came in today Milwaukee M18 fuel 2408-20, $98.00 at walmart.
