When lakers on on the feed, I'm sure a derby happening to be on that day could do some damage to the current big fish population, but those genes and conditions to grow those fish are still present.  The picture of the old record fish from Willoughby is amazing as well, I'm sure there are other fish in the 20+ pound class in both lakes, but its certainly not the norm.  anyone know how the ice is on maidstone now?

these were caught in Maidstone

Wow, those are some monsters!  :o I guess that's the NEK for ya. Almost all of the deep cold lakes up there hold a beast or two or twenty. Just look at the MAP under Lake Whilloughby, Big Averill, and Maidstone. WOW!
Perch bait- a small minnow that can have big results in the ice fishing game.  :icefish:
