Hey guys. I have a friend that owns and operates a bed and breakfast here in the Black Hills. She has used this machine to haul food back and forth to her cabins, and it has very low miles. The igniter is out on it, and she says its a hard to find part, and would cost about 300 bucks. She will sell the thing to me for $200 if I want to fix it. I currently walk everywhere on the ice, and although this thing isn't 4 wheel drive, it would probably haul me and my gear through little or no snow. It would enable me to go to farther spots that I wouldn't normally consider on foot. Is it a good buy, or am I buying someone else's headache?

 There are a lot of online atv aftermarket electronics sites out there Roy. I'll bet you can find one for under 150. The polaris dealers wanted 450 for a starter for my Xplorer 400, I found one online for 145. You would be suprised where those smaller machine will go or will pull with a set of vbar chains on the back ! Good luck !!

Thanks guys, I will think on it. Actually, as long as I've been thinking about an ATV, I might even consider getting a newer one that is fully functional. I like the idea of getting a smaller one with some chains tho, as they are cheaper than the bigger 4x4s. 4 wheelers are still too expensive. It takes like 4k to get a good used one and I paid 500$ for my car!
