Title: Shack Weight
Post by: Mizayikaa on Feb 28, 2019, 10:17 PM
Curious what some of your homemade houses weigh. I gutted a slide in camper of everything but the stove. I put better insulation in the roof. Cut a spearing hole in the floor and made it so if I want to I can put the table up. Other than that she is pretty bare bones. It weighs right at 725 lbs. That's about 100 more than a four wheeler or equivalent to the weight of 3 or 4 men depending on how much beer they drink. Just wondering the weight of some other shacks out there. Thanks.

Not sure exactly what mine weighs but I'm guessing around 500 pounds. It's 7' wide by 8' long and without the deep cycle battery and cylinder wood stove in it I can move it around pretty easily on the ice or lift it up to get blocking underneath. The battery and stove probably add another hundred pounds.

Im guessing 1000 + lbs.
12x8, +wood stove,  I have puck board on the skis so it slides very easily , tow it with one ATV over snow or ice no chains or studs.
