Maiden Voyage with Vexilar
« on: Feb 19, 2017, 03:12 PM »
Ventured out today despite all the doom and gloom with terrible slush/snow conditions..Went to States Landing... All but one bob house that was in view last time I was there was gone. Couldn't see anyone fishing. Snow mobliles were everywhere. I didnt go out to look past Gansy's. Decided to pass and try Center Harbor as I had never been. Lots of fishing there but not any catching from those I spoke to. Some were trying for rainbows, others for perch and some for bass. None I spoke to had caught a single fish. One group said they caught one bass yesterday. I did not mark any fish but got out in the nice weather anyway and got to try it out. Maybe the better fishing is farther out.

You should have at least marked some smelt. They are loaded in there

I was able to see my jig so I think I had the right gain set.....but nothing else ventured across my screen.. Would they normally be near the bottom or higher?
