Herring rigs for panfish??

hey, has anyone ever thought/used herring rigs for panfish????  thanx and goodluck to ya this season

I brought two back home from maine for that very purpose but then realized I have to take off one hook cause you can only use two hooks per line in ny i'll let you know if it works ;D
