Recipe Thread
« on: Feb 06, 2012, 09:50 PM »
So, I have been seeing some good recipes put on here. For example the chowder is sounding good! But..... I'm still not brave enough to try the perch eggs.
Anyway, I was wondering if we should ask Hoosier to put us up a permanent recipe thread? It would be nice to see what some of us do with the "catch of the day". I know I am constantly in pursuit of a recipe that makes white fleshed planter trout taste good.  :-\

Whatcha think?

So I need 6 1/2 perch lol.  If Idaho wasn't so far I'd be banging those Slob Perch too! I check out Cascade L. on the web, that's a big body of water. How much ice does it normally get?

You want to help your trout to taste better soak them in milk. I use a class, or some type of deep, baking pan. I soak the fish in milk about 30 minnutes on each side. That is the only way i can get my kids to eat more than a coupple of bites of it. Than just cook it how you like it, baking, grilling or frying.

Hey Capt.

We are looking at a good 10-12 inches all over the lake and gettin thicker or holding. It is a fairly decent sized body of water...and a blast to fish. And the scenery is spectacular!!!

Hey JT,

Good thing you don't 'have' to be an eater to be a catcher, eh? LOL

It's cool you take care of the neighbors around buddy! I'm sure they get as excited about fishing as you do...great job!!!
