Cascade
« on: Dec 28, 2011, 10:18 PM »
I just stumbled across this site the other day and it gave me the itch to get back into ice fishing. Used to spend every New Year's Day fishing at Cascade by the dam or golf course. Fishing used to be really good but things went down hill and the last time I went ice fishing the best I can remember was 12 years ago up at Brownlee when it froze and we caught some killer crappie through the ice.

I am thinking about heading up Saturday. I read the thread on Perch which may be what we will do but how has the trout and perch, really not sure what all is left in the reservoir, up around the dam, park, golf course area? What about the ice conditions?

I got a weather report this morning, 38 degrees, Raining, and windy.
There was 12" of good ice on the south end of the lake on Christmas. But it has been raining and warm. Watch your step.
I'm going to go check it out tomorrow when I get home.
Be careful and have fun.
