BREATHTAKINGLY BEAUTIFUL! I sure hope I can retire there someday!
-
ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. It's amazing how blue that ice is. I wish I was there if only to get to see it in person.
-
Now THAT is some NICE ICE, where's the fish?
-
That ice is awfully nice...
..be a shame if someone...
..drilled a buncha holes in it!
-
that is so great ;D
-
Absolutely breathtaking   thanks so much for sharing

Lake Louise is absolutely breathtaking. Usually photos fail to show the massive historical hotel right in front of it, though. The rest of Banff/Yoho/Jasper are equally or MORE beautiful and generally less "touristy"
Those 3 are my #1 recommendation for national parks in North America

One year I decided to drive through Jasper and Banff to check them out.
Couldn't get out of there fast enough.
Way to commercial for this lad. :-\

The first photo looked a lot better than the second.

You got that right.

I thought for sure this was going to be a picture of me ;)
-
I’ll stick with my Lake Louise, way less tourists. But that lake is absolutely beautiful.
-
Yep. Most people go there and get a picture out in front of the lake and never bother to step foot on a trail. Its a shame. The Hotel completely ruins the scene, theres paved paths all the way up to the shores of the lake.
If were picking our favorite lakes from the area, I'm going with Ohara. Shuttle means smaller crowds ;D

You would definitely need cleats on that ice :)
-
To GOD be the glory of such beautiful scenery !
-
I would be fine with staying in that hotel, restaurant, bar and bed. Then go ice fishing and come back to that hotel. Hopefully the fishing’s good too lol.

I don't believe there is any fishing in that lake.
Pretty sure the closest fishing is down the road a piece @ Lake Minnewanka.
Seems to be closed to winter fishing too. :-\
