2 guys on ice at the lack. St park on Sunday.  1st guy straight from the launch, 2nd one in bullhead bay. I wouldn't be trying that ice now though

He would need a few more posts to check the reports page; not sure is the minimum five?  This warm up will make lakes that were safe marginal or unsafe. Don't take chances if you are not sure!

Headed to Lake Jean with wiggly812 for a few hours this morning. Wiggly812 fished it yesterday and said at that point it had not really deteriorated. Fished it Sunday with 6" of ice and the holes were still freezing over in the afternoon. I don't know how much longer I would trust it to remain safe with warmer weather coming and possible rain. Wherever you go take the spud bar (and common sense) and be safe.

Any luck at lake Jean, was hoping to try it in Saturday but not too hopefull with the warmer weather, haven't ice fished since I was a kid

I am glad I got out a couple of times last weekend to promised land. The ice was a good 5 inches but the weather forecast is terrible with rain and 40s for the next ten weeks. I just hope the ice will hold up.

LOL - I want ten weeks of polar vortex - it was on my wishlist for Christmas but Christmas isn't what it used to be.

There’s plenty of ice in that area pike and Wayne county was on 7” yesterday shorelines didn’t even open gotta know where to look get familiar with area and lakes buy a spud bar

Hey Joe,  usually I get up that way to check, good to hear that, shohola went from an A lake to D lake over the years, to many fish being taken, needs some kinda.limit/ inch regs.

Yea we made a trip up last year fished all day and not much happened we had a mess of tip ups out we had two youngsters with us never got back up that way again can’t go by one bad trip I be up this season to give it another go. Keep in touch we will be up 2/15 2/16  :tipup: :tipup:AP

I was in northern Wayne county on Sunday & fished a lake near white oak that had decent 5-7" of ice. by midday it was full on pouring! the ice was fine when we left ,but im not sure what these warm temps & more rain will do... SPUD SPUD SPUD ! please be safe out there
