Since I have medical issues and can't get out on the ice, I decided to download the game.

I already have Phistech, but wanted to try this game.

Only advice I can give ya is read the lake info and try different rods/baits. I'd try to help more if ya had specific questions.

I just started, but it's a little hard if you don't know where the fish are.

I got the names of the lakes, Here is what was posted previously:

Lots of lakes to try, any help or tips are appreciated.  So far, I have only caught one (1) 910g pike on  Lehmilampi lake.

Use the contour map, the link on the bottom right of the page. You want to look for breaks, channels, or flats. You click and hold the rod to move it up and down (jig). You also click hold and jerk it up to set the hook. The lure you start with is the best all around lure, use it until youu get the hang of things. Go to Sarkijarvi, you will catch fish there, nothing over 80g, but it will help you get the hang of things.

...as a result of all my game time trying to learn this game, I've been tormented by my wife and daughter by them asking me to participate in our family events (...as if  ), asked to join them in watching chick flicks (...as if  ), hit over the head with a frying pan, and cut off from...OK, won't go there.

the shrimp is definately big fish bait, i have caught some monsters on it.

I don't like using the shrimp.  I like using the green power bait, just my opinion.  Also like the biggest pole for larger fish.  I play online everyday, big ADDICT.

There is an update  " patch "  (.853) from propilkki main site.  Apparently addresses some nvidia graphics card problems that have been reported.  According to their web page it actually has sped up some of the systems that have installed it.  Just thought I would let you know in case you have not heard about it.

You play under your own name.
When you load the game, click "play as guest", then click "player set-up" and then "new". You will then be added so when you start the game you can choose yourself instead of "guest".

On 1st link I see no game there to download, just updates.

At the top of the page it says Version v1.0.6 is a update, says "At least v1.0.3 is required to be
installed before this update" (can be found from download page). I click download and it takes me to same page.

Scrolling down I see 1.0.3 avaible but no dnld link to click.
Next shows 1.0.2, says its a full failure

this is the English page I am looking at.

I finally got it dnlded, had to use the Non-English page
Awesome game, now if I translate the lakes names and find St. Croix, some guy said it was a good lake.
