Well Reb, I do believe most have wobbled a time or two in our lives so I won't hold that against him. If he falls down though, all bets are off.

Well heck ya! I'm mean I'm already headin' to Ice's via OH so's I kin grab some o' that Yuengling stuff for OS. For the life of me I can'st figure why that there fancy schmancy east coast beer isn't available to us here US of A hinterlands. Must be some sort of elitist brew, eh.

90% of new topics on here have been brought up at least once before. IS would get pretty boring if the only thing we did was look up information like we would at a library, and not start things over.

So, to answer the young lads question, I prefer a Marcum. The reason why is simple.... It's what I am using at this time.

Actually for the inexperienced learning the basics of what you're seeing through one takes some time. If you don't truly need all the bells and whistles that come on the higher end models don't waste the money and buy other things. They all do about the same thing, get the best price and learn it. Used a Green Box for decades, picked up a MarCum after it died only because it was ~$20 cheaper than a similar Vex and am doing fine with it. Seen/used a Vex and there's little difference to be honest. Seen way too many guys with the bells and whistles models that simply turn it on and and run it like a basic model all the time and not sure why the spent the extra $$$$$ for it.

It's all fun - you don't have to read it.
Anyways - I like Marcum because I have one and it works great for me. It's a personal preference thing. Buy what what you can afford and get as much as possible for that money. It won't be the last one you buy anyways. The new digital features of the Marcum LX7 are a wonder.
