Sounds like it is the LX-7 with an 8" screen and camera.

They're also going to be offering the LX-6 with a 6" screen and camera.

I hope the LX9 intro goes smoother than the LX7 did.

I had to re-read that twice, Surf.

Here I was hoping for a tracked La-z-boy with  integrated seat warmers, RAM mounts, and and one of those cool vertical auger mounts that you can punch a hole by dropping a lever.

Pull the handle for a little less wind resistance and cruise the lake....

(I'd buy one.  :)  )

Would honestly be more interested in a low cost, small LCD screen camera that could integrate with the older (but gooder!) LX/VX series - kinda like the Aquaview pocket cam, but more robust.

I like it!  :P  Can hardly wait to purchase one as a backup to my "7".  @)  Or will my "7" be the backup machine?  Wonder if there will be any games on it (for when the bite is boring)?   :icefish:

Maybe it will be bundled with HDTV, Internet access and digital phone?

Seriously, it is an interesting concept; but at the current price, sales will be limited.

Same thing happened to me. I bought an LX5 and the LX7 came out the next year. It tells me everything I need to know though. I just need more time on the ice to enjoy it.  ;D

The Lx-9 is a ( i believe ) a 9in camera and i think also a 9in flasher just like the Lx-7, i was told buy a MarCum prostaffer that this unit will be around 1,300$. MarCum is also coming out with an Lx-6 to. I waas told a couple more units also, its gona be a LONG month till ICAST comes July 10th in Orlando, FL

I'm not a big fan of putting a flasher and a camera in one unit.  It seems common sense that having all your eggs in one basket makes it more complex and increases the chance of something going wrong.  Then when you send it in for repair you have nothing.

I just don't see the sense in a unit that combines video and flasher.  The flasher operates form the surface and of what value would a camera be looking down from 15 to 30 (or more) feet of water?  I just plain don't get it!  So are you looking for a unit that has a (split screen) with two cables running down the hole, one for the flasher and another for a camera?
Just don't make sense to me.  But then, neither does the idea of a camera, period.

I was givena small peak behind the curtain... The new unit will do alot!
It will fill a nitch that some are looking for while pushing technology forward. Nothing is for everybody, thankfully most everybody fishes differently.  ;D

Looking forward to ICAST when all the cats will be out of the bag...
