A side imaging color LCD would be my pick.  Which one?  I dont know, as I dont even look at things that far out of my price range.  I do have an LX5 and love it though......

If money was not an issue[ lowrance HDS- 5] has flasher and sonar , crisp color ,easy to read bigger screen ,and i have had 2 vexs one is now 16 yrs old and my fl18 deep is 8  they are very dependable units
