Hooked up with some FC boiz and jigged for perch. Started out fast but slowed to a crawl. This was our take at about noon. I have started bleeding out my fish I think it helps with taste. Plus when you fillet them the blood doesn't go everywhere!   Ice was 5-6" all over the area. Minimal slush. its good to go for awhile. Got a bonus Sucre!

Just wish they were a little larger. oh well we had a great time got some exercise weather was perfect. Never needed gloves not a cloud in the sky dead calm.

Yes. 32FT was best. Lots of suspended at 20' over 32'.

Mojo ML.  6lb Suffix 832. 6lb Floro leader. Gotta have braid when fishing for lite bites in 30-60 ft of water. IMO.  Braid works fine when its nice out. I don't like ice fishing in the cold.

Fished the dead sea from noon-3pm.  Never marked a fish. 24-42 ft.  Don't know if I can do it tomorrow-

Dead sea. 6 hours. 2 perch, both 4 inches. Couple pieces of bait in form of rainbow. Yikes. 18-40fow.  Couldnt mark a fish after 930 a.m.  Tried hooking mud/weeds and pulling it up just so something was chasing me on flasher.  That place needs a couple hits from a defibrillator.

Yes you can get out a little farther but not a bunch.  Just when you think you'll get way out there the spud bar goes right thru-

Problem is we keep getting snow on the ice. Prolly another 8-9" since last saturday. Brutal. Some nasty slush here and there.
