Arctic Cat Lynx 2000 LT
« on: Feb 16, 2015, 09:30 PM »
Anybody out there have one? Looks like they are new for 2015. The price is reasonable compared to most new sleds and it has a fairly long track and a 2 up seat that is detachable.

Its nothing fancy but it looks like a good ice fishing and trail riding sled.

Interested in hearing what people have to say about this sled. Been looking at them at the local arctic cat dealer. Has the same fan cooled engine as the bearcat 2000lt. Only difference I can see is the track is 7" shorter and the lugs are smaller. The skis are 6" I nstead of the 8" bearcat. Seems like if you put a hitch on the back it would be a perfect ice fishing sled. Plus I believe the motor is a Suzuki which is a plus

The Lynx 2000 chassis has been around a few years. Originally as the F570.  Motor is by Suzuki and has been around for at least 10 years.

Do you guys think the 144" track on the lynx touring will be long enough when the lakes have deep snow and slush? I'd this a reliable sled? Anyone have any negatives I am thinking about buying one

From what I hear it is as dependable as any fan cooled 2 stroke twin.  Older design motor, been around a long time. Not real fast. Just depends on what you are looking for.  I am hearing 60 - 65mph as top end. I also hear about 12 - 15 mpg, maybe Bart or someone can confirm?

144 is plenty of track to stay on top.

I ended up going with the Polaris 550 LXT. It is very similar to the Lynx 2000LT. There are some small trade offs for either one.

I really like Arctic Cat because it is all I have ever had. However, I just couldn't pass up the 0% financing on top of the rebate and an additional year warranty if you keep the sled under 300 miles by the end of March.

Reeleyz that sounds like a great deal. I ended up getting a 2016 yamaha grizzly 700 power steering with camoplast tracks!!

Be aware that poo 550 fan has some issues. It has gotten better in recent years. Do some forum digging.

No complaints so far. Starts great and tows like a dream. It handles a second rider great too, I can't even tell that they are on the back.
