2 person shack recomendations
« on: Oct 28, 2014, 08:18 PM »
I would like to try Sturgeon spearing this year and now need to build a shack that will have 2 spear holes in it what would be your minimum floor size for that? I plan on building a skid shack im thinking 6x8 with a hole on each end and a door in the middle

So you and a friend will be sitting back to back, hours on end? Sounds boring as hell;)
Why not reverse your plan: a hole in the center, a door on each end.

Yeah that would be fine I figured it would be better having the holes seperated

I would do a jumbo hole in the middle with doors on each side. Two guys could sit on opposite sides of each other, then you could see them coming from underneath eachother. I have all my shacks setup that way and it works pretty slick.

I ended up building a 8x12 with a 4x8 hole in the middle and a single door it worked well the fish didn't cooperate before I had to pull the shack oh well try again next year
