Finally got out yesterday on a nice so NH lake that still has good access that's not posted. Ice was 4-5" depending on how close to the shaded shoreline, but I wasn't too comfortable and stayed shallow....too shallow to jig. Set up a few tip ups for a couple hours in the afternoon. Got a few small largies, missed a bunch of hook sets. Rusty, I guess (me, not the hooks).

Thanks for the positive feedback guys. Sucks that my trips have been so limited this year, but I'm getting more and more cautious with ice I don't fully trust.
Saw that a 3 year old is in critical condition in VT after his parent's side by side went through on Memphremagog. Just sad. Hope he pulls through.

Better safe than sorry. We should plan a river redo next month. No leaves this time, or high water!
