Strikemaster Lazer adapter size
« on: Dec 13, 2016, 08:25 AM »
Does anyone know what size solid stock i would need to use to make a cordless drill adapter for the lazer auger. I'm going to remove the handle and make my own drill adapter for the bit. I like to make a plate for mine so if it comes out of the drill it does not fall in.  I'm just curious so i can get some stock that is close to the right size. Thanks for the help.

just use a micrometer on the handle or hole for it.

i would add a washer with bungee cord to keep it from falling into the water instead of a plate. to do that you would need to buy bigger stock to hold the fiber washer from sliding up the adapter. just crimp the bungee on to itself at the ends after making a small loop to go thru the holes in the fiber washer. use a roll pin to keep the fiber washer from falling of the adapter. the bungee goes over the back of the drill and takes some weight off of the chuck.

also you'll want to make three flats for the chuck to grip.

and make it an adjustable length.
