Awesome laker PGKris...guess I may have to visit that part of the country again (wife has an aunt and uncle in PG)...of course, your mentor is in this part of the world.

I agree marshrat. The laker trophy size is barely attainable here in BC.

i thought you could only be in once for a trophy drawing any way.....  I dont hink it was ever listed by species before for those who qualified.

Just curious how you can get in multiple times for single species.  I got several pickerel over 24" and 8 perch 14" or bigger.

Could of i been 12 times for the trophy drawing.

Why were some fish that were on there that looked like they were bigger than existing fish not there anymore.

what happened to the only post the pics if they contend with the lead or a place in the top three.  I got pics erased so what gives.

Jiggerman I also did not know this. I could have been in the trophy drawings at least a dozen times. Ten 24"+ rainbows that I can remember iceing as well as my last burbot at a bit over 33" Gotta read the rules better I guess 8)

In the Trophy drawing if you have multiple posted "trophy" entries it will just increase your odds of being drawn. Once your name is pulled you are out of the drawing.  ;)

LW,

I knew that once your name was drawn you were out of the drawings for the other prizes.  I did not know that you could have your name in for the drawings more than once no matter how many different trophy fish you caught or even how many of the same species you got that were trophy size.

I guess i will know for next year.

Lonewolf,

A person should only be able to be entered in the trophy drawing once in each
species. You are only allowed to win one prize in each species. Just my opinion.

i am also of the opinion that 44" is not attainable enough of a trophy laker size...  10" shorter would be more realistic.  ...since we're all airing our opinions here

I'm sure Lonewolf will assess trophy sizes based on history...as a matter of fact, it wouldn't surprise me, as organized and diligent as he is, if he had a spreadsheet / database with a number of years.  A couple years back, I had two walleye that would have passed as trophies this year (one might have been a bit shy but close), but this year, there were very few walleye entries.

I wonder about this thought of multiple trophies though...immediately coming to mind is what if an entrant catches a trophy fish relatively early in the tourney, then later catches trophy size fish, but smaller than the first.  If you posted the first one, the smaller ones are no longer eligible for entries.  Just a thought.  One way around that is to catch a fish early, enter it to get in the weekly drawings, then organize the rest of your photos, but don't enter them until near the end of the tourney and, if you have multiple trophies, enter them in increasing size so each one doesn't remove the other from the tourney.  While that could be a strategy to follow, I could see Lonewolf not getting any sleep that final week if enough guys did that.  Considering how much this has grown each year, I personally wouldn't want that kind of stress at the end.
