Not a DLX just a plain old Trekker II but here is my setup.
I have changed it a bit by adding a 1/8" aluminum sheet on the inside and outside to strengthen the attachment area on the sled. After 2 years and hundreds of miles behind my snowmachine the attachment points failed so reinforcement was nessessary.

I mounted a nice piece of hardwood maple on both sides of the bow of sled and used eye bolts to bring both pieces together on either side of sled bow.  I then made a hitch out of rope using two length of PVC so when I stop  - the sled would too.  I lashed three loops with cord, two for sled eye bolts and one for hitch.  Use metal clips for attachment.

Would upload photos but this site sucks for that.

Nice setup drifted.
I'm building a new one out of emt conduit using garage door brackets to attach to sled.
