I just replaced my 25 yo homemade unit with a Frabil Predator. I've only been out once with it so I have very little experience to speak of. I have found it's a mother to pull by hand if there is any snow on the ice. Taking a hint from the iceboaters here, I built a sled for it to ride on but instead of using skis, I made blades of 1/8" steel. The steel runners are designed to permit raising the sled bed above the snow so there is virtually no drag when pulling now! One feature I liked was the head room.....I hate having to hunch over when I'm trying to stretch!!! I'm sure I'll be making mods after each trip out as I tailor it to my style of fishing.

Hey nodakbassmaster, do you have any pictures of the inside?  I have a QF3 and want to also get a flip over at some point.  thanks.

I don't at the moment, here's one I found with a quick search, you can see the bench seat in there, that runs the whole length of the sled. The seat bottoms lift up for access to a storage tray underneath them that's great for a lot of stuff, including the poles... I'll try to get some next time I have it set up.

Ive got a Frabil 6'x12' and love it! My only b***h is that the anchors snap off in the ice even after being left in for a few hours.  Other than that it is great and would buy another one in a heart beat.

My buddies and I have a Clam Summit, and a Glens elite 6 man hub we bought this  year. We have yet to try the glens shack out, but the Clam works great, as long as the wind isn't too bad.

I got the Clam JM Thermal X at the beginning of the season. I love how much room it has and it has stood up to some brutal winds.  I used to have an Eskimo quickfish 3 but someone decided they needed it more than I did.

I have an old Frabill XL Twin that has been collecting dust since most of my fishing partners finally got their own shacks.  For the past 12 years I was using an Eskimo QuickFlip I for solo trips.  It has done it's time and I finally retired it last February.  Found one of the last Clam ProTC's in stock in the midwest and have been fishing that one ever since.

The Otter Lodge when I'm using my sled.....Super comfortable swivel seats and I have the center storage box that fits in between. When I'm walking I use my Rover 1.5. Nice bench seat, ton of room for one person and easy to pull.
