Last week I was ice fishing at the Strawberry res. in Utah. Caught a couple of Cutthroat Trout that were over the slot and kept them for the smoker. When cleaning them I found a Large deer hair fly all the way down in its belly. Then came the bigger 24 inch cutt, it had a 4 inch piece of hotdog in its stomach.
So that bring me to my question. What is the strangest thing you ever found in the belly of a fish?

3 snails a wasp and a cigarette butt.

I have found a couple tear drops, a full size rubber worm and a good size chunk of bark all in trout before

My BIL caught something (don't remember what now) that he said had a ground squirrel in it's belly.

On another note, the Cutts in Strawberry are prone to eating things like mice. We chuck big deer hair mice for them in open water.

One pike I pulled through the ice had a daredevil, a leader, a swivel, and another leader down in its throat. Later on when I cleaned the fish it had 7 hot dogs in its stomach.

Nothing to strange but one of the walleye I caught this winter had a stomach full of baby brown bullheads. I wasn't sure if they preyed on them much due to the spines but it didn't bother this guy too much.

Many years ago, before Boston Harbor was cleaned up, I caught a flounder that spit up a condom. Needless to say the flounder was tossed back and I gave up fishing there until 2001!

Many different tube jigs, lures flies etc.

2 different lake trout with chicken wing bones...

A lake trout that had about 50 cigarette butts. Its stomach was packed. Definitely was addicted to nicotine!!!
