Thank you for posting those pics man!
Was there no one out fishing?  ???
I'm hoping to get a ways beyond that dark line this weekend.

Same here!
I'd rather be fishing...

Only saw a few guys off MDB.. just too windy. There was still a lot of open water from Bolton south to Diamond point but the Northwest bay is locked up tight. How thick... I don't know..

Is MDB holding up after the winds ... Anybody else been out there ?
Just curious how much it built (or lost) there.

I'm 1.5hrs away

Thanks guys !

A buddy of mine is texting me from MDB right now.  ;D I don't know where exactly, but he's telling me 5 inches. 1 slimy pickeral is all so far.

Just don't confuse the blood around the holes for successful fishing.
He isn't catching anything to speak of. But sent me a pic of a nice auger gash in his hand.  :P Ouch!

Things slowed way down for me at work. Last week they tell us they will be taking volunteers to take off early and cut some hours. I went weak in the knees and almost hit the floor. My boss looked at me and laughed and said yes go ice fishing. I'm not worried about the slow down it happens every year and come spring were so busy I don't see daylight if I don't want to with unlimited ot. So I welcome the time off at a perfect time of year. With that said, I'm not sure I want to risk it on lake George just yet to get to laker waters. I might, but I also might go after eyes agian.

I started trying to drum up a good angle to take today off on Monday.
Yesterday the boss passed the buck to fire someone on Friday. Lucky me!
Without thinking I said, "Well... do you mind if I take Thursday off to unwind before I do the deed?"
SOLD!!!
Of course. I slept in.  ;D
I'll be punching my 1st holes in the Queen in an hour or so.  ;D

5-6" and less as you go out. Few pressure ridges. Kinda sketchy feeling walking over it, you can see open water through the cracks and ice moves some....Ice was making a ton of noise, cracking and moving a bit but overall good clear 5-6" of ice. If anyone heads out in the dark be very very careful. Walk out straight a ways then go to the left.

What's that?  Did you say you need another lesson?  Lol.  You guys sure did a good job.  A 31 incher wasn't too bad for a first Laker was it?
