That ice should hold up no problem through the weekend and the temps look OK next week. Don't tell me bigredonice was at work while all this laker jigging was going on

Jon ny and I went out on the King today, I had lots of flags and caught 2 pickerel 24.5"& 25.5" and 2 bass. Jon got some perch, not a great day for the perch fisherman.

with it being close to 50 and raining on Saturday would one be crazy to venture out there? rain doesn't bother me, I have a raincoat and I know how to use it. But melting ice beneath my feet does scare me. a lot. looking for some input from those of you who know that lake better then I do?

you should be alright. The ice doesnt melt as fast as you think from the rain. Its the water level that raises and cracks the ice along the banks.

awesome lakers and pickerel, the King is fish'n awesome at 1st ice, very sweet gents and have a blast up there, sure hope the ice holds over the weekend.

Thanks everyone, I know that they weren't the biggest fish but any fish is always fun to catch. I'll be out again tomorrow till noon and I hope I have some more fish to post about. Good luck out there and be safe.
