Sorry about that...I thought there was walleyes in there.  I would still love to hit the perch, slabs and lakers.  For me to get lakers it usually requires a deep freeze and Owasco lake to freeze over.  I just want to make a day trip and always wanted to try your great lake.    Thanks for the info guys.

Me and a good friend are trying to plan a blast and cast(jig) trip for mid Feb.-Mar. this coming year.  We would like to run our 3 beagles on some snowshoes and try to get some ice fishing in.  I'm from western NY but am somewhat familiar with the ADKs.  We are mainly looking for suggestions as far as places to fish, hunt, stay and board the dogs.  If possible we would like to find lodging and boarding or lodging that allows dogs that is close to good snowshoe hunting that we can access (public).  We plan to bring the Mrs's. (potential dog sitters) so we can maybe get away and fish some afternoons.  If anyone has any suggestions please pm me.
There is a warm up forcast for this week but hopefully the ice will set in soon.'

I think there is good rabbit hunting by Chaumont bay, someone told me that there is a lot a long time ago.

Ok, I know it's coming so before anyone asks the answer is no, still no ice on LG and probably not for a while. On a happier note, Merry Christmas.

I don't expect to be able to get on ice on the lake until around the 20th on Jan, & then it will be only in some bays! ???

Well to keep my mind off this LG thing I'm redoing the bedroom. Stripping wall paper sanding and re coating hardwood floors, bedroom, dinning and living room. Figure by the time i get done with that it will be time to fish the king.

I was driving down 9L yesterday and saw a good ice sheet on the bay at the end of Pilot Knob road. I think that is called Kattskill Bay. Harris Bay was about half ice and half water.
The Ultimate Warrior is possessed with great power from the heavens above ! Against the mighty lake trout and pike and schools of crappie, the power of the WARRIOR will always ......... PREVAIL !!!

No problem. It was a reliable source even though second hand. Just figures that this year it'll freeze up and I'll be out of town until the end of January.

I was @ Harris Bay today also, looks like it's got a good start, cold temps tonight should help it along. :woot:
