Post by: viciouscircle on Jan 03, 2024, 03:00 PM
Hi all and Happy new year,

Got out to an old lake and tried a new spot on Jan 1st and Jan 2nd. Short evening sessions but did ok, made a couple videos as usual.

Whities and walleye cant beat that! great vid as always. Is that a St croix premier combo if so how do you like the reel?  I have one but didnt care for the drag on the reel so swapped it out, rod is nice tho.

I love the rods, enough backbone to take even lakers and sensitive enough  for crappie, but…. Lol…like you said the reels are suspect, I think they are Daiwas. What I do like about them is the button on the handles allows you to fold the handle flush with the reel without having to unscrew the handle, that works well for me using my soft sided rod bag, easier storage  with the extra room that affords.
