Saw the temps were supposed to be above freezing at holter for the next 4 days. Never have fished there, and wanted to make a trip there this weekend. Don't want to drive up there if it's a waste of money. Any thoughts. Thanks

Bummer, last weekend I'll be able to fish for a bit. My backup plan was hauser. I know there was a foot or better of ice there last weekend. Hopefully that'll make it through this warm weather. Thanks for the info

Was there Wednesday & it showed signs of deterioration then. Warm days & strong winds are not good. It's a crap shoot for sure.

A buddy of mine went yesterday. Walked across the lake from Log Gulch. He said the ice was good and he caught a few perch.

With how fast the ice got bad yesterday, solid in the morning to the top 3" being so soft you can scrape it with a fingernail, I'm waiting for cold. Someone is going through this weekend and it won't be me. No perch is worth a swim!

Well holter is definitely out. Checked the fishing report and ice conditions but no reports on CF or hauser. Think those are a safe alternative??

I agree with perch pounder. Went on monday and slammed em.shores were already starting ro give away and maybe 6 inches. Wanted to go this weekend with wife but no thanks. Ill go for ling and perch some where else.

IMO, walking across that lake is just crazy. I did it once 20 some years ago. While fishing on the other side a pressure ridge formed, lots of water on ice, had to follow shoreline to cross ridge then cross back to vehicle. A few weeks later a snowmobile went thru. Lessoned learned for me! Never again. If fish aren't biting on the side my rig is on, oh well, I get skunked. Not the first time and wont be the last.

Need a nice cold snap for me to fish there again.
