Anyone have any recommendation for good fishing around the Whitefish area besides Flathead?

What species ya wanna fish for? There's countless opportunities in this awesome part of the state for ice fishing.

I'll fish for anything but I would like to catch some panfish if there is anywhere that has them, even perch. Like to catch some pike also.

I have a lake for you.  Its called Skyles Lake.  It has panfish, perch, pike, and bass.  Its usually slow-ok for fishing so I am not sure if you wanna try it.  You can catch the pike jigging or on smelt, and the perch jigging or stay still.

McGwenneger slough outside Kalispell on hwy 35 has what your looking for! Crappie, sunny's, perch and pike. Pike harvest there has been slow, but crappie has been productive for me just after sundown.

Can also check out Stillwater. Blanchard has all you're looking for but also tends to be pretty slow most of the time.

You can catch hammer handle pike at smith lake all day with little effort.

There are some decent fish In mcwenneger. The perch I've been catching in there are better than average for most lakes in the area...not saying there aren't better places around, but I can be fishing there from my house in about ten mins...hard to beat!

Last week I caught a couple of 10" crappies.  I'm not much into crappie fishing, but my buddy sure likes them.  The perch are getting bigger than they have been in the past.  It's close to the OP's location and fish are easily caught
