Bluegill Fishing 12/26/04
« on: Dec 26, 2004, 06:46 PM »
Went out today for some gills on the local farm pond and had a great time , the ice on the pond i fished was about 6" thick... tear drops and maggots did the trick today ..went out about 11am or so and caught bunch and then went back out just before dark and got into them again .most of the gills were between 9 and 10"..what a fun time !!!

Beautiful gills bud. Man with those pics, that must have taken hours to clean all those gills. Bulls are such a blast through the ice. Usually pretty cooperative too, but they can be tough. What kind of jigs and bait were you using?

Hey FISHON, Thanks. Am GILLCRAZY. Love to fish 'em and eat 'em.  Nice photos. I have never uploaded any. What's the trick?
I live in Wisconsin and did well 2 weeks ago on first ice but then the deep freeze hit. Was out today instead of bow hunting and did not find them.  5 hours 3 locations one nice gill no other bites.  That's fishin!  Back out tomorrow as it's warmed to 30 degrees.  Happy New Year to all that read this ;D
