Caught my first trout ever and first fish of the season overall. Also probably the earliest I’ve ever put one on the ice.

Congrats! What part of North Dakota were you fishing and how thick was the ice?

Central. And not thick enough. Prolly 2”. Never got out deeper than 4.5’ though and it was great looking ice.

Think I’m gonna venture out when I wake up from night shift. Thought last year was an anomaly but almost same date on the dot this year. Hopefully I can pull a few out again.
