No idea, was in there yesterday and spent more than I should.  Owned a store like that once and it's tuff stocking ice equipment in this area with the weather.

Just an educated guess, but they are tight with your 'favorite' clan of fishermen and were probably convinced not to support the site since they won't let a certain someone sell his products here without paying the sponsorship fee.

No idea what the sponsorship fees are but it seems as much business that is done by said "clan" leader those fees would be paid for in a build or 2.

Maybe the return on the marketing investment just wasn't there for Jim.

I am sure the ROI was pretty good solely on the first few pre season get togethers that were started here and promoted pretty well here.  There are enough ice guys in Ft wayne and limited shops that I am pretty sure he saw plenty of traffic from here.

I know I tried to buy as much as I could from them mainly due to their sponsorship.  I will still get in there as much as I can, but there is also a couple nice local shops that I would love to see stay in business.

I have been to 2 of the seminars when I thought the speaker had something worth while to share.  In those 2 trips I spent 10.00 on something for a buddy.  It is 90 minutes from my house and I have to pass about 5 other shops to get there, so its not someplace I would ever frequent, but for those in Ft wayne it's a nice shop.

Hey guys (FYI) I got into  Jim's shop (PTO)today. I asked him about not being a sponsor and he advised there was a communication problem and he couldn't get any response to his emails or calls, whatever avenue he was using to correspond. So I guess he gave up! Did mention may have been due to him carrying the aforementioned "BUGS" in his shop. Too bad! I spent too much again. Hex
