Dutchess County fishable waters?
« on: Jan 05, 2009, 06:37 AM »
Anyone know which waters in Dutchess County are frozen over and fishable yet?  Morgan Lake in Town of Poughkeepsie is tiny but stocked before freeze with 250 trout.  Upton Lake frozen yet?  Anyone here doing the Northern Challenge in Tupper Lake in the Adirondacks?

Bait shop on Rt 55 about 5mi past the Stop and Shop in Poughquag heading towards Pawling.  The name escapes me but it's there on the right.  Right acroos from it is a great hiking access to Nuclear Lake that holds large bass.  Another access to Nuclear Lake which is a much easier woodroad is about 1/2mi. past shop on the left just turn and park in parking area.  Not enough ice on Nuclear yet though.
Screaming lines!

Check on Northern Dutchess Archery in Red Hook.  If Joe dosen't have bait in already, he'll be getting it real soon, and keeps it on hand all winter.
