Red for Crappie ?

I usead green lights before for them, main problem was the batterie and lighting  time was limitead aprox 3 houres for 2 lights,I want to replce them whit red led's but I have no ideea how red light is going to work, any of you has experience whith red light ?
The thinner the ice, the more anxious is everyone to see whether it will bear.

 Just got my green led's last night , very impresed I got 2 green whit lens and some bright white strips for my Clam , thx again .

usung a light...in 10-23 ft at night...where would i place the light???on the bottom...mid depth...or at the hole...we tried a light and saw the little zoo...but didnt seem to help the bite.
i just know they will bite if i stay another hour.

I like to put my green Light about one third - 1/2 of the way down thru the water column. The Craps usually come in suspended about half way down and come up. If I'm not catching, I bang the bottom some I usually get Gills. I also have a big flashy spoon that I will drop down about the same level of the light and try to draw them in.
